And for those of us who were figuring it out on our own while in a marriage, it’s double reinforcing to know that we can do it all alone! Even if I am in a new relationship, I will be cautious not to let my guard down and get into that dependent mode. I’d like to continue to make decisions on my own as long as they are not decisions that affect both of us.
