As an avid tennis player and contributor to the USTA, I've sat out for three months with bunion surgery and two years back for 4 months for a right shoulder injury which was mostly tendinitis. Now I am the non-playing captain of my team due to my ductal carcinoma diagnosis. It is always something, and the older we get, the longer the recovery takes. Being benched gives us a better perspective on what's important in life and while tennis has been a huge part of my life, we have an opportunity to take care of our relationships and ourselves.

Hope you are back on the court sooner rather than later.
