Aww, so heartwarming to read your mom’s notes. What they had is what many of us set out to have and didn’t work out. My parents were married for 44 years until my dad died. I wouldn’t say they had a happy marriage but felt the need to stay together for societal reasons. It was a different time, I guess. Again, love your mom’s account of her courtship.
