Beautifully written and thanks for sharing. Elizabeth’s story resonated with me in 2008 when I was in beginning of my marriage troubles. I tried reading it several years later and it didn’t have the same effect. I hope to do my own version of ELP once I see my kids through high school years and into college. You are absolutely correct about dissolving the ego and shed to reach a base level of peace. I sometimes feel like the teenagers do some of the stripping for me as they begin to build their egos.
