Congrats on finding someone! As a fellow Indian, I know how difficult it is to navigate the world of divorce among family and friends.

There is always this curiosity on what happened and I think it's ok to talk about reasons for breakup in a short and succinct way on the first date. I think people go through different stages of grieving and I am not sure I would open up my soap box and be vulnerable to someone on my first date.

Another factor to consider and that would be an interesting research study is who are the people who are willing to talk so easily: the ones who initiated the divorce, the mutually agreed divorces, or the ones who were served the papers?
