Debra - I can totally relate to your relationship with Phally. I too lived in Asia as an expat and had some house help. I got really close to two of them. One I let her go when she found a man and wanted to move and I had to leave one behind when we moved back to the US. I am still in touch with her and help her whenever she needs the help. I don't think I would have survived without the help of these women. They were my adult company when my then husband was busy.
