Funny you should ask this. I don't have a sweet tooth but I do indulge in my cup of chai every morning that has generous amount of sugar. Last year I went off drinking chai every day just to avoid that 1.5 tsp of sugar and treated myself to it twice a week. I did just fine. But I resumed the habit again and although I don't see it in weight (I too have a fast metabolism like you), in principle I would like to reduce. Although my chai doesn't taste the same without sugar. Boo! I tried Monkfruit sweetner which is a natural product sold on Amazon, but it's not the same! Boo, again!
