Hello Maria, this is story nerd Sandy. I really like the central theme of your story which is the importance of spending alone time to increase creativity, empathy and productivity. The story within the story is that of Sally's. However, I see two themes in Sally's story: A) how she used the PMI strategy to change the family dynamics, and B) getting the one-hour non-negotiable alone time as a result of the new deal. While #B is connected to the central theme of your story, #A warrants it's own story. It adds detail, but again takes away from the central theme of spending alone. It's for another story on how she was able to change the family dynamics from kids bickering to carrying responsibility and becoming more empathetic to her going back to work. The increase empathy for the kids did not come for spending alone time. Hope this helps.
