M, I've had metal braces not once but twice in my life! AND I had Invisaligns 10 years ago when my teeth moved back. I wear the plastic retainers every night as the teeth do move back.

It is part vanity and a huge part self-care. Be careful not to wrap your plastics in a paper napkin when you are lunching out with friends. The next thing you know the waiter takes the crushed up paper napkin and later I am trying to retrieve those from the trash can. True story!
