I agree with the awkwardness in taking pictures. I'm afraid someone is going to run away with my phone. I've found that although I enjoy traveling alone, I leave thinking I'll have to bring my children back to this place or I would like it would have been better to share this adventure with someone instead of experiencing it alone. That's why I mix it some, some solo, some with kids, some with friends, and some with my partner.
