I can relate to some of this as my 77-year-old mother arrived this week to spend four months here in the US with her children......the majority of her time is spent with me. I am doing this for my children to have some connection with their grandparent.

Your 70-year-old self will be proud of all the decisions you've made and how you were able to overcome your childhood trauma to be a good human being.
