I can relate to the yelling mom! Gosh, and my son is very quick to call me out on it by saying, "You are in one of those moods, I see."

From story nerd exercise, I see a story in a story....but you shared enough from the book to get a sense of what you meant by sticking to the story without jumping around. I am learning a lot about writing better memoirs, and can't wait to read yours.
