I couldn't agree with you more. I am in my mid-40s and trying to find love again. We each have had such long histories and lessons learned, that it will take a longer time to really get to know someone, get comfortable and feel at ease again. Or maybe there will always be a shadow to our pasts that will follow us into the future despite all the attempts at healing.
