I get it from your point of view and I get it from those who are after the American Dream. After all, it works for many who come from nations that are worse of than the US. The aspiration to do better in life is a real one and to think that coming to the US results in upward mobility is also true to an extent. That doesn't say much about the state of affairs with healthcare and everything else that are flawed that we have to deal with here.
Like you said every country has its pros and cons, and it's an individual decision on what's better for each one.
