I say parenting is a lose-lose proposition, no matter what we do, our children will have some bone to pick with us later. I realized that just as our parents did the best they could, we aim to do better than them, but it's our best effort. Yes, it is the journey and the life lessons, but it's good to leave the guilt behind and focus on self-care along the way without getting lost in the web of parenting as we often do.
