I think there's a bit of genetics in play too. I was a C cup until I had kids and then went on to be a DD, and now have settled at a D. I agree about the view being different from when I look down to what people can see. My daughter got genes from her paternal side and is a D size as a teenager. :( Her aunt had breast reduction surgery at 50.
