I was a wife of an expat for 5.5 years and understand the life of luxury you mention. If the expat life suits you and you find no reason to get out of the bubble, then enjoy it for as long as you can. However, when it does end you will come over to the other side and be like the rest with having had a taste of the expat life. I wanted to get out of the bubble as I knew it wasn’t sustainable and I wanted by kids to experience life outside it.
