I was chatting with my friends about how they stay in touch with their older kids. They said there are differences between daughters who text back or stay in touch more than their sons. The one way to keep in touch is to send them a video or a pic of the dog or something that is relatable with a question or comment. They are more likely to respond than to a question like how are you doing or how was your day. As senseless as it may sound, I have a group with my siblings and we send movie or show recommendations.
