I worked full time and was doing the parenting and taking care of the house…..and I still felt devalued. I was tired of doing it all just for him to be able to wake up in the morning and go to work to be the “breadwinner.”
Mutual respect for each other and what we bring to the relationship regardless of whether you are working or stay home is what’s needed. It’s sad that couples lose sight of that.
