I’m sorry this happened to you. It brought flashbacks of something similar for me with American Airlines. It doesn’t matter what airlines, they are have the same policies. I was traveling with us two teenage kids who got sick eating at Subway in Miami airport…..so I was busy cleaning their 🤮 . We lost two nights of hotel in Costa Rica, but I had purchased travel insurance and got something back.

It’s a nightmare when it happens, but it’s good that you kept it together and don’t lose your cool.

These things happen and all we can say to ourselves is focus on what we can control.
