It is a fascinating intersection of language and culture. Expressions of love and public display of affection are very different between the easter and western world. There is a sense of formality in the way we conduct ourselves in public, a more conservative way of being. Nothing wrong with it, but now that the east is highly influenced and enamored by the western world, we are beginning to see a range of sociocultural behaviors and practices evolve over time.
