Jennifer I agree with you that men should be looking for equal partners too! I didn’t make 1/5th the salary my husband made….but being in the field of education I would never dream of making what someone makes in corporate America. But I have worked full-time and I value having my career. Unfortunately, the ideal of the man being the breadwinner resulted in my wasband using the weight of the paycheck we brought in to determine that I was not the equal partner. I ended up with a disproportionate amount of child rearing and household responsibilities in addition to my full time job while he was focused on being the breadwinner because what I brought in was not enough.

The equality needs to be in mutual respect and support!
