Look for the Silver Lining when Co-Sleeping with Someone New
Do you toss and turn in your sleep? Do you make 180-degree turns in bed? Are you a light sleeper or a snorer? Or do you sleep like a log?
Is sleep important to you to function the next day or are you one of those who can get away with 3–4 hours of shut-eye every day?
My sleep is important to me. I don’t know about you, but I have always — even as a teenager — enjoyed my afternoon naps on the weekends if time and schedule allowed.
As a child, I loved sleeping on my stomach. I didn’t even need a pillow. In fact, I liked the pillow on my head. As an adult, I sleep more on the side, turning from one side to another. This is something that started while I was pregnant.
Sleeping on my side was conducive to spooning during a co-sleeping arrangement. I used to love spooning with my wasband in the earlier years of our marriage. I thought our bodies were sized perfectly for this position.
I bet you have your favorite sleep position too. Read Khaled Halwani article about decoding sleeping positions.
Bottom line: I love to sleep. I am a dreamer and have lucid dreams. I love going into my dreams and directing those scenes, sometimes sleeping a bit longer in the morning to find an ending to my dreams.
