Patrick, I feel better after reading your post. I too wondered about Shetty's fame. In fact, I found myself speaking with one of his life-coach school's sales rep as I was exploring the field. It was a really good sales pitch, but my gut didn't allow me to put the down payment and proceed. His school has his name and even promises direct coaching sessions by him, but I couldn't put my skepticism aside. Like you said, charisma and good branding go a long way in today's world of social media.
