This is some great writing of a very difficult time in your life. Divorce is tough on so many different levels. I can relate to it, especially when I am beginning to declutter to put up the marital house in sale and start my life all over again. Too many memories and emotions of a promise of a life together shattered now, but it is a new beginning too. Or at least that’s how I console myself. The one thing I’m trying to do is let go of the materialistic things.
