This piece resonated with me! I too told myself I am better off on my own. I still say no to marriage (again), but I would be open to cohabitation with the right person. I love the idea of living apart together (LAT) but I know that works when maintaining two residences is not a financial burden. But then again, I am skirting around the issue of giving it a try after my failed marriage. Yes, I am jaded from my own lived experiences and need to be more open-minded for possibilities.
