True dat! As tempting as the burning idea is, I think it was a good idea to help someone else. I don't think the bad luck is contagious because it wasn't about luck to begin with. You did a good deed!

I still have my saree. It wasn't a grand one. Unlike a dress, I have worn it a few times when I was married for other occasions. I love the color. I will probably donate it next time I go to India.
