Ugh, I could relate to loving school more than being home. I'm sorry for your earlier experiences and memories of not being seen and heard. I too was a happier child outside the home. My parents weren't divorced, but my mother was pretty much a single mom with her own set of resentments to deal with. I didn't understand it back then, but can empathize with her situation now as an adult. I don't know what to make sense of all these experiences except that these have shaped me to be the adult I am.
