Vishnu, I feel for you as a fellow Indian. My mother is yet to share my D news with many of our relatives although it's been a good three years.

Last week I was at my cousin's place for a Diwali party with my White boyfriend. One of the Indian ladies assumed things and asked me, "so what does your husband do." Imagine her shock when I said he wasn't my husband but my boyfriend when a few minutes earlier I was chatting about my teenage kids. I could see her eyes move to the back of her head for a few seconds. :)
