Who Would You Prioritize This Year?

My answer to that is straightforwardly easy

On my morning walk, I listened to Episode#170 of the Mel Robbins podcast about life being short and how to spend it wisely.

She shares an analogy of leaving an ice cube on the counter and walking away to return to a puddle of water.

As a soon-to-be empty-nester, Robbins talks about losing out on spending quality time with her children in a period when she was busy building a career and had bills to pay.

She makes the case that our relationships in life are like ice cubes, and we need to seize the moment to prevent grief and regret.

Her advice is for us to do the following: a) think of the one person we would like to prioritize to spend time with, b) provide a reason why, c) state our intentions out loud as a way of making a verbal commitment, and d) add it to our work calendars. She had more to share, but I got the message.

It all made sense, but I reflected on the question:

Who would you prioritize this year and why?
