You did a fantastic job writing this piece and I couldn't agree with you more. The emotional labor is what it takes the toll on me. And despite doing it all being branded selfish when I prioritize ME every once in a while. I say it's a thankless job and I too would like to be the one that just sits around and relaxes all day.
