Those of us who have kids get so used to being the martyr by putting everybody else’s needs before ours.
It’s great that you are very clear about what you are willing to compromise on and not. For example, I don’t have a choice. My kids will come first, and I have to be grateful and thankful then for whoever is willing to understand my Achilles.
