You are right, many women (or for that matter men) are in marriages because a divorce doesn't make sense from that a financial standpoint.

In my case, I was sick and tired of being told how much superior he was because of his high-paying job. I did not do a financial analysis and neither did I take him to the cleaners. I settled for the bare minimum through a mediation process. Now I need to live with that decision. I know I won't be on the streets but I will have to compromise on the lifestyle that I've had while married. I think it's worth every ounce of happiness I've found since the divorce. Go figure!
