You are right that each country has it pros and cons and end of the day it depends on the quality of life and what is important to you that will help decide where you want to settle.

I was in France with my boyfriend this past summer and we had to make a visit to the Emergency room. Coming out of the ER with 3 stitches and a cost of only 75 euros was like a dream. :)

You bring up very good points about the cost of living, the work culture, and the quality of products in the US as being a deterrent to stay here. I am from India and one of the biggest reason I like living in the US is the freedoms it affords to live day to day as a single, divorced woman without any societal pressures.

If you and your family can have the best of both worlds that would be great!
