You bring up a very good point, one I often think about too. The problem I have with contrarian viewpoints is that I don't want to get into nasty brawl or receive unkind words. Do I really need that kind of negativity in my life? So long as there is an implicit understanding in this community that we will be positive and kind in our opposing viewpoints and debates, I can be more honest.
